- Unscrew door hinges from door frame.
- Use a flat bar (pry bar)and remove the trim around outside door frame being very careful not to destroy too much drywall.
- Remove door jam starting at the bottom of jam working up. After both sides are off make sure to remove jam header. Now you have an open area.
- Get 1/2 inch drywall and cut it to size and screw drywall to 2x4s that should be exposed.
- Get corner bead then nail to corners then use drywall mud to cover beading feathering out to get flat surface (may have to do 2 or 3 times). When done with sanding and paint.You have a nice hole in wall.
Tips
